This is a question that I have wondered for a year now. Is the T3 Single Pass Curling Iron Worth the Money? I hear people raving about the T3 curling iron and how much better it holds your curls. And, it supposedly is easier on your hair and gives you less damage. But it’s pricey. 😮 You know my cheap-ass ways. You know I love to get items for a great price and I always have my eye out for a deal. Well, I saw the T3 Single Pass Curling Irons were on sale and wondered if I should take the plunge.
You, also, know that I live with Deb. Deb loves “quality” items. Her motto is that you need the right tool for every job. And, when buying that tool, it must be great quality. You want the best tool for your money. If you spend a little money on a product that will last 2 months, and twice the amount of money on a product that will last 2 years, you may as well buy the more expensive one. We sometimes say, “Let’s just take one big dump…. rather then several small ones.” 😂 I bought the T3.
Is the T3 Single Pass Curling Iron Worth the Money
I bought a different curling iron three months back that was recommended by a friend. She uses it daily and loves it. It was around $40. While it does work to curl my hair, the curls fall out pretty much before my eyes. I spend 20-30 minutes curling my hair in the morning for it to be gone in three hours. 👎🏻👎🏻 Two thumbs down to that since I want to shorten my “get ready time” verses lengthen it. Once I received my T3 Curling Iron, I decided to do an experiment over on my Instagram stories. Since I had just washed and dried my hair, I thought it would be a great time to try both of them out. I curled one side of my hair with the T3 iron and the other with my $40 one, set on the highest setting.
Here are my positive findings:
- The T3 curling iron curled my hair a lot faster. It was set on 2 and could go up to 5 in heat. I didn’t have to hold the iron on each curl as long as the inexpensive iron and I was done with that side in 2-3 minutes.
- The on/off switch is the base of the iron by the cord making it impossible to turn it off while in use. I cannot tell you how many times I was in the middle of the old hairdo and wondered why I could hold the iron on my hair for an entire minute and it wasn’t curling. It was because I accidentally turned it off.
- The T3 glides through my hair so much easier than my $40 one… which means less breakage in the long run.
- The T3 has a one hour timer. If I forget to turn it off, it automatically does that for me.
One Disappointment
I had high hopes that the T3 curling iron would hold my curl overnight like lots of folks claim, but I was a bit disappointed. The T3 side had more curl than the other side but didn’t look freshly curled like some people claim.
I really hate to admit it, but this experiment still turned me into one of the crazy T3 lovers because of all of the positive qualities I listed above. I truly wanted it to leave me with the feeling it was overpriced and overrated, but it didn’t. 🙈
Have you ever tried the T3 curling iron? Lots of girls love the T3 curling wand with the different sized attachments, but I didn’t think I would get as much use out of each one to justify the price. Because they aren’t cheap. Oh… and people rave about the flat irons, too! Our blowdryer recently took a dump, so I splurged on a T3 blowdryer too. And, LOVE it for many reasons.

Also… I get tons of questions about hair products. My all time favorite is Navy Products. I have naturally curly hair and I swear by their Search and Rescue Shampoo/Condition, Style Navigator, and Pebble Beach Texture Spray. They also sell kits of several different products togethers.

I’ve had my T3 blow dryer for 5.5 years now and still love it and it works great! My only problem is they’ve come out with a lightweight version that I really want but can’t justify buying the new one since my old one is still practically perfect!! 😂

hahahaha I get it. I was just looking online wondering which one would be the best. I think the lightweight one would be good for me.

I have the T3 blow dryer that came with the round brush and LOVE IT! Dries my hair in no time! I go to a swanky hair salon in Athens, Ga and she was using a T3 wand. I said “Oh, that’s cool, I have the 3T blow dryer and brush and I love it!” My stylist said… THAT’S why your hair looks so awesome!
Danelle Harvey says
Yep… This is why Deb swears by “quality”… I’m getting the blow dryer once I see a great price for one.

Just wanted to offer some tips… if you turn the heat up to 5 it actually may help hold your curls through the night! I noticed if I use anything lower than 4 I still have curl the next day..just not as much as if I curl it at 4 or 5!! Give it a try!! Also if you are worried about damage I would reccomend a heat shield before using the wand!!

Thank you so much. I was going to try this the next time I curl my hair.
